Fishing Notes |
---|
This afternoon Rob and I fished from 3PM – 6PM. It was a leisurely time fishing as we were seeing if we could replicate the shallow dock pattern that I have had on the lower end of the lake in some smaller coves, just kind of checking things out a bit. The first set of docks that we came to in the back of a cove at the 19mm produced one small keeper and a short. We fished two additional coves with only a couple of short fish bites. As we were somewhat randomly selecting coves, it seems that the backs of coves that have steeper banks/deeper creek channel are not producing a bite as well as the bigger creeks with docks on more shallow flats. The presence of bait fish is also important to get bit. We did fish several brush piles and a deep bluff end point. Rob got bit on the deep bluff end point on a Texas Rigged plastic worm. |
