Today I went searching for bait fish in coves around my new home by Tan Tara Resort. This is a change for me because lately all ive been doing is fishing deep structure. Lately i have seen and heard about the bait starting to get to the backs of the creeks so i wanted to go try this pattern since i havent do so yet this year. I was unable to locate a large amount of bait in the backs of these creeks, i was able to see some not much. Since i was already back there i decide also to practice my skipping and flipping docks. This is a technique that can be difficult but will pay off if you can tackle it! I recommend to all bassingbob members to work on this.I ended up only catching a few small fish all evening, but the positive thing i took away from the day was i got alot of good flipping and skipping practice in, something that i have wanted to work on for a long time. If you practice these techniques don’t give up on it!! it can be frustrating sometimes you just have to grind it out it will make you a more complete angler in the long run!!! |
