Fishing Notes

This evening i got on the water about 5pm, due to the overcast clouds i planned on fishing around brush not necessarily in the brush. My plan worked out pretty good catching a number of short fish and two small keepers. as the night went on i hit a small pocket of heavy rain, i seeked cover under a near by condo dock, while waiting for the heavy rain to pass i noticed on my down imageing that there was a bunch of fish right below my boat! so i backed off the spot and threw my line in and started catching a bunch of short fish and two giants. I set the hook on a nice 5 pounder that was short and fat! i couldnt believe the size of the belly on this fish! my very next cast i threw i set the hook on another giant got him all the way to the boat and he broke off!! i was pretty bummed!! if i were in a tournament id probably have cried!!! but it was a lesson i have learned before but forgot to do it, if your fishing in a lot of brush or even just caught a big fish its a good idea to re tie your line!!! dont make the mistake i made, it will help you land more fish and have less break offs!!
