Main lake windy point and shallow docks in the back of cove at 12mm of the Osage |
Fishing Notes |
---|
After several days off the water visiting family in StL and giving my hand cut/stiches a bit of a rest to heal, it was great to get on the lake about 3:00PM today. I fished until about 5. There was a strong wind today, so I started out throwing a big crank bait on a main lake point and just inside the point, catching one small keeper and a short. Then I moved to the back of this large cove at the 12mm and slowly, dissected about 8 docks, starting on a dock in about 12′ of water. My second cast on the first dock, I landed a nice keeper from between two jet skis, I did not weigh the fish, but I will say it was easily 3+ pounds and maybe 4. I thought, this is gonna be a good bite on this stretch of docks, however, after working this set of docks for 1.5 hours I was only able to land a few short fish. |
