Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 1 and fished til 3. This timeframe has been my toughest this past week as I prepare for the FLW BFL tournament this weekend. It seems that the bite is just kind of turning off about 11:30, with only a few bites the rest of the day. I have always had pretty good luck fishing with Crock-o-Gator Shaker Head and Senco, at times it becomes my go to bait when fishing is tough. Today, I had about 5 good bites on main lake and secondary points. The key to the bite seems to be bait fish close by (probably an obvious statement). While I was not setting the hook on the bites, there was one fish that stuck himself, he jumped, it was without doubt a keeper and he spit the bait. From reports around the lake, all areas seem to be producing good from the dam to the river area have been good this week. |
