Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about noon and fished til 3. I was really thinking that there would be a good bite today with the strong winds that we had. However, the bite was still as tough as it has been this week. I started off throwing a DD22 sitting well off of secondary points and main lake points, then moved to working winding banks pretty fast flipping the spinner bait along the banks fishing from the bank out to about 12′ of water. Not a single bite. So, I thought I would change things up a bit and moved to some bluff’s and bluff ends. I caught one small keeper on a bluff end with shade and wind on the buzz bait, another keeper in a bluff pocket off of wood with the D-Bomb on Waynes head. I caught a handful of short fish flipping to the ledges of the bluffs with shade. Tomorrow I hope to be on the water for an extended time to check things out more thoroughly for the Big Bass Bash this weekend. Hopefully we will get the rain and cold front predicted and that the bass start biting better like they were early last week. |
