Fishing Notes |
---|
I got on the water today about 10 and fished until the storms shut down the fishing for me about 5. Today was overcast and calm in the morning which I thought would trigger some good bites., but the fish still stayed in their shut mouth funk that has been going on this past week. The cold front that came through with the late day storms should trigger the fish to be biting good this weekend for the Big Bass Bash. I had a couple of short strikes on the buzz bait, caught a small keeper on the buzz bait on a main lake point, a small keeper on the D-Bomb off the corner of shallow dock with brush and my brother Dave caught a 3 pounder behind a main lake dock on the Crock-0-Gator Jig. Dave reported having a couple of good ones come off with the jig as well. Fishing legend Bill Davenport reported catching 5 nice keepers on Tuesday off of deep brush piles with the Davenport Special Jig. Good luck this weekend, I hope a Bassing Bob member catches the big one!! |
