Fishing Notes

Today I fished the Big Bass Bash solo as I was planning to flip/skip docks all day. However due the strong gusty winds it was difficult in the stretches of docks that I fished as boat control was very difficult. However, I stayed with that approach for most of the day, getting skunked, no fish caught on shallow docks today. My best bite and most fish came with the DD 22 on secondary and main lake points with that strong wind beating on them. While boat control was still difficult, it was easier that flipping/skipping docks with this wind. The three keepers I caught all came around main lake points, 2.6, 2.7 and 2.9 pounders. The buzz bait bite was a little more consistent that it had been for me earlier in the week, but the zones of shade that I wanted to throw too had significant wind, so I changed up to the spinner and had a few bites on it. My son Rob, Bassing Bob Jr., caught a 5.46 during the 1-3Pm time frame throwing a brush hog like big creature bait pegged with a 3/8oz weight in a brush pile up the Glaze. Tomorrow I am fishing my good friend and Bassing Bob member David Brcic, hopefully he will bring his sporting magic to my boat!!
