Fishing Notes

Due to Bob being back in St. Louis to root on our Cardinals I was able to get out and get a fishing report this afternoon!! Now i got on the water about 2 o’clock and fished until 4 i knew i had to get off then due to the cards baseball game!! the afternoon went pretty well i noticed we had some solid wind blowing straight in on some main lake points so that’s where i started. If there is good wind on main lake points id suggest to always give it a try, with a crank bait, shaky head , or something texas rigged like my favorite the brush hog! with only a couple shorts caught on the main lake points i ventured into some coves to target brush piles. When we have a bright sun in the afternoon and the fishing tends to slow down i believe fishing brush piles and shady docks gives us anglers a better chance to catch fish in the toughest time of the day. My choice to go to the brush was successful, i was able to land three solid fish all about three pounds. when i fish my piles i like to throw past it then drag it threw and hop it occasionally , this has worked best for me i hope it helps you guys also!!!!
