Fishing Notes

Today I fished with my good friend and bassing bob member, Steve Hollenbeck. Last week Steve showed me some things in the Gravois where he lives and today I was to show him my back yard, the Grand Glaize. We fished from about 7:30 – 6:00. We fished a lot of great spots that I know in the Glaize and Steve caught 4, two small keepers and 2 shorts and for the first time in 6 plus months, I got skunked, not a single bite all day. Fishing is certainly a humbling sport. We established no patterns what so ever, other than for us the bass just were not biting for us at all in the Glaize. While I do not think the water is turning over, however it may very well be or getting ready too, for some reason the bite was just non existent. We each threw at least 10 different baits throughout the day and tried a lot of different structure, locations, etc. Just a very tough day today.
