Bassing Bob Members,

Hello everyone I hope you are all doing well, and fishing when its not arctic out!! I wanted to give you all an update on Bob and his health. As most of you know Bob underwent heart surgery January 3rd in St. Louis. The heart surgery was a huge success! Though, during early recovery we did unfortunately have a few setbacks. We now have him at the rehabilitation center where he will have to spend some time to get strong again. Bob is in great spirits and is more motivated than ever to get back to the place he loves! If anyone of you have any questions and or just want to talk fishing feel free to reach out to me or Steve Heitman. Most the time you guys know where to find me at Fitz’s. I will do my best to update Bobs status regularly. Thank you all for always being supportive of Bassing Bob, and Bob himself!!

Fishing Notes

After a disastrous day fishing yesterday in the Glaize where I caught no fish at all in 10 hours, this afternoon I finally found a bite. I got on the water about noon and fished until 5. The first cove that I fished, I started out fishing a bank with brush piles with no bites, then I moved across the cove to a sea wall close to big docks. I started fishing with the buzz bait as there was good cloud cover and slight chop on the water, the wind stopped and I changed to the top water zara spook and caught a 4.10 pounder. The pig hit it once and missed so I stopped the bait, he hit it again and missed and again I stopped it, the next twitch he nailed it. After getting shut out yesterday, if felt so good to get a big bite. I proceeded to catch several shorts and 3 more keepers, two of the keepers came on the windy corner of big condo docks and the other in a 15′ brush pile on a 10″ black n blue power worm. The bite was much better today, either due to the overcast sky’s or moving away from the Glaize,.
