Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 2:00 and although I was on the water until 6, I did not fish the entire time as a fisherman that I came across by Tan Tara had boat problems, so I towed him back to his condo. When I did fish, the bite was not very good. My good friend and LOZ #1 fishing guide Jack Uxa told me last week that the Tan Tara area was not fishing very good, perhaps due to turn over, he also indicated that after the turnover is done and the water gets back to stable from and oxygen perspective that the fishing could be very good. So, I thought I would check it out to see if it was on. It was not yet, based on my fishing today. I did get some bites, but I threw a spook, a buzz bait, a spinner bait, and a DD22 without a bite. My only bites came on the 10″ plastic worm in brush piles along side of docks and the Davenport Special Jig on main lake points. I talked to Jack this evening and he had a good bite today on windy points with a rattle trap in the Linn Creek area. |
