Fishing Notes |
---|
Today my son Rob and I got on the water about 12 and fished to 5. We started out fishing some condo docks and creek channel banks in a big cove at 19mm, Rob with the wiggle wart and jerk bait, me with the jig. We caught a few short fish on the jig and the jerk bait. We then ran to the 7-8mm and continued to target the last creek channel banks in the big creeks that had a bit of depth to them. We caught quite a few short fish on the jig, one short stretch in particular we had 4 bass bite, but they were all shorts. I did get a good 3-4 pounder in a small creek pocket that was just off the main creek channel bank. After catching some shorts we ran back to my back yard, the Glaize to fish for the last 30 minutes before dark. Again targeting the last creek channel banks, we caught a short a white and a solid 2.5-3 pounder on the jig. All in all the bite was tough, but we did have consistent bites on some of the banks we fished. Most of the bites came in about 4′-10′ of water. |
