Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 2:00 and fished until 5. It started off feeling comfortable on the water with some sunshine and air temps of about 30 degrees, as the day progressed and the winds picked up a bit the cold front came through. As the cold front came through the ice started to build up quite a bit on the eyes of my rods which made it more difficult to feel bites with the Jig. I caught my first bass a small keeper, just on the 15″ line of my board about 20 minutes into fishing, I thought this was going to be a good day, then the bite on the jig slowed down and I fished for an hour with the stick bait, counting it down to 20, but no takers. While in the back of my mind I knew I should be throwing the A-Rig, but I just was not ready for shoulder pain and ben gay!! At the end of the day, I landed some shorts but nothing really great to report. |
