Fishing Notes |
---|
After not having very good success in the lower Glaize the past few days, I ran to the Tan Tara area to check out a couple of creeks that I had some good success last week. I got on the water about 2:00 and fished until 5. The creeks that I wanted to fish were frozen in the back areas that I hoped to fish, so I fished these creeks toward the upper third closer to the main lake. The bite was slow, I threw the jerk bait and jig, but my only bites came on the jig worked very slowly on the bottom. In the last 30 minutes I finally located a good amount of bait fish in Crabtree cove, directly across from Tan Tara island. The heavy concentration of bait fish were close to the bottom on the creek channel banks about a third back in the creek/cove. It seemed that their were bass close to the bait fish on the bottom in 20′-30′ of water. I fished for them with the jig and slow rolling the A-Rig, but only caught one keeper KY. |
