Bassing Bob Members,

Hello everyone I hope you are all doing well, and fishing when its not arctic out!! I wanted to give you all an update on Bob and his health. As most of you know Bob underwent heart surgery January 3rd in St. Louis. The heart surgery was a huge success! Though, during early recovery we did unfortunately have a few setbacks. We now have him at the rehabilitation center where he will have to spend some time to get strong again. Bob is in great spirits and is more motivated than ever to get back to the place he loves! If anyone of you have any questions and or just want to talk fishing feel free to reach out to me or Steve Heitman. Most the time you guys know where to find me at Fitz’s. I will do my best to update Bobs status regularly. Thank you all for always being supportive of Bassing Bob, and Bob himself!!

Fishing Notes

The day started with Dad and i taking our brush boat out for the first time! Overall the brushing went well and the boat is perfect for hauling brush. As much as we wanted to keep brushing its always hard for me and him to not have a line wet while being on the water!! Soo we went fishing! We fished for about an hour catching 4 fish 1 keeper. Still targeting areas in creeks about mid way back. All of the fish came on the stick bait.Having it paused was the key today. After that hour of fishing we received a call from a fellow fisherman who had broke down while out brushing. So we went and towed our friend in then continued fishing. We fished for about an hour without a bite, Dad stuck to the jig all afternoon and i threw the stick bait, we really wanted to see how both baits were working. Towards the end of the day we pulled up to one last bank to see if we could change our luck, and there he was!!! a nice 5.6 pounder was waiting for me on a rocky point in the glaze! felt nice to end the day with a solid fish!!
