Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got started fishing about noon and fished until about 5. The bite was really tough, with the sunny sky and completely slick water. It took a couple of hours to get my first bite. The only keepers today were small, one on a Chompers Jig and the other on a stick bait. Both fish came close to brush piles in about 8′-10′ of water on shallow flats toward the backs of coves where the water goes from shallow to about 15′-18′ of water. My boat was in 18″ of water casting toward the shallow flats, fan casting toward brush that I could see on my graph. I am fishing a tournament tomorrow with Wayne Fitzpatrick, so part of the day I was graphing fish and bait fish to find areas that are holding fish. |
