Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I picked the wrong time to get on the water. I got on the water about 2. When I started to fish there was a slight wind and no icing on my guides or line. After about 20 minutes, the wind started gusting, the clouds got darker and the air got a lot colder. By the time I finished fishing, it was severely cold, sleeting and the wind was howling. I tried to find some areas out of the wind, but with the strong north east wind, even in steep banked pockets and coves, the wind was swirling and the whole situation was very difficult to fish and to stay comfortable. While for the most part, I was not cold, as I am kind of used to dressing for this cold stuff, I just could not keep my hands warm enough. I did notice today that a lot of the bait fish seemed to have been sucked my the current generation to the mid to top ends of coves and a lot of bait fish around condo docks. |
