Fishing Notes |

Today I got on the lake mid afternoon, with the intention of heading back to the dam area, again to put some hours on my motor for break-in. As I got to about the 17mm, just before the toll bridge, there was thin layer of floating ice covering the entire channel for as far as I could see past the toll bridge. So much for breaking in the motor today. So I fished for a couple of hours, again targeting main lake points and just inside the points and cuts as far as I could get into them before I ran into ice. The bait fish and fish are there, mostly deep and on the bottom, but I can not get even a little dude eat my bait. When the bite turns on that first fish better watch out, I plan to rip its lips off and likely play with it for an hour plus on my line. These fish must be vacationing in Florida. |
