Fishing Notes |
---|
Wayne and I took off about 10:30 today and headed for above the Hurricane Deck bridge in the heavy fog. The ride which normally would take about about 25-30 minutes from the mouth of the Glaize took about and hour due to very heavy fog. It took us almost three hours before we got our first bite. We were kind of junk fishing, Wayne was mostly throwing the stick bait for most of the time while I was throwing a bit of everything behind him including a spinner bait slow rolled on the bottom, the jig, tube and wiggle wart. The water was quite stained in that area. It was also interesting that in Cartwright which is on one side of the main channel, the water temp was 40-41 but in Bollinger which is on the other side not far away the water temp was in the mid to upper 40’s. We finally got on some bites, fishing creek channel banks toward the mid to last third of coves, flipping the jig and slow rolling the spinner bait along lay downs, cover, chunky rocks, transition banks and docks. |
