Fishing Notes

Today it was great to be back in my boat solo on a beautiful day!!! Today i was out trying to figure out where i could get a bite on the lower end! I haven’t fished up there much lately so i couldn’t wait to get there. I started out around the Shawnee Bend area about 9 0 clock. I noticed the water temp was 43.5 first thing this morning .Water Temp is definitely on the rise now. I fished around checking all elements and different patterns including : pea gravel, chuck rock, softball rock, steep banks shallow flats, i tried it all. Whats crazy is i got bites in almost every scenario! Though i didn’t get many bites, i got some on shallow pea gravel, and steep banks with big rock on it. I got bites on the A-rig and also stick bait. I threw the jig quite a bit with no love!! I was able to locate bait mid way to all the way back in the creeks and coves. When i did not locate bait i didn’t get any bites. My better bites came in the afternoon. The morning was pretty slow. Today was a great day to be out fishing! its really nice to have a short sleeve shirt on for a change!! i think the fishing is only going to get better from here on out!
