Fishing Notes

Today i was out solo again searching for spots to fish for the upcoming AIA tourney on Sunday. I found some good stuff the other day so i was trying to add a few spots to run to on tourney day.I went out with plans on fishing transitions from steep banks to pea gravel. I was able to get a few bites doing this but not many big fish. I mainly saw 42-44 degrees on the graph. I was able to work the stick bait pretty quickly and get bites, one even bit on the reel in! I caught one short on the A-rig, And also a GIANT Gar!! ive never caught a gar, it was neat until it came time to get my bait back!! All in All the day was a success for me for i was able to add one more good spot to the run that Vern and i will be fishing Sunday. Yes i said the Great Vern, he will be fishing with me as an alternate for Ben because Ben is on a big college tourney on Kentucky Lake. Im very blessed to have so much wisdom in the boat.Good luck to all anglers this weekend should be interesting, fishing has really picked up all over the lake!
