Fishing Notes

Today Ben and i hit the water around 10am. After waiting for the rain to pass. After struggling in the Anglers n Action tourney i was excited to get back out there to try and figure em out! Today we had alot better conditions than Sunday!! nice overcast sky’s with solid 10mph winds. We targeted rock transitions midway to all the way back in the creeks. We tried to utilize the wind the best we could. I noticed the water temp actually went down a degree or two. We fished alot of banks that i fished in the tourney this past weekend and had alot of bites today. All in all we just had perfect conditions today. This is a prime example of how wind and overcast skys can be your best friend when throwing the stick bait and wiggle wart in this water temp. Ben stuck with the wiggle wart most the day catching a hand full of fish and a couple keepers. I threw the stick bait most of the day catching alot of fish and a few keepers. We were able to catch 3 keeper KYs and 5 keeper large mouths. We probably could have had more but we are trying to save some fish for this weekends Alhonna Tourney.
