Fishing Notes |

Today I started my search and practice for the up-coming FLW BFL tournament this coming weekend on Lake of the Ozarks. After last weeks heavy rains that colored up the water on many parts of the lake, I was checking out a pretty broad range of coves/creeks, etc. to see how dirty the water is in some areas that I may want to fish this weekend. I found that a lot of the water is already starting to clear, with the back of the coves/creeks a bit dirtier in some and muddy in others. However for the most part the water was very fishable in the area that I fished. In fact, I had two colors of spinner bait tied on the mouse/lighter color and the white/chartuese with big blades to work each depending on the water clarity which I found to be a bit mixed in varying areas. I caught a handful of bass today, with the two best small keepers caught on a green pumpkin tube toward the backs of creeks. |
