Fishing Notes |
---|
After a good week of practice, catching some quality fish on main lake points and in spawning pockets, the big fish bite simply shut down for me and my co-angler Gary St. Clair. Gary also indicated having a good bite in practice on the lower end with the wiggle wart and stick bait in spawning pockets. However, perhaps the shutting down of the dam generation kept the big girls from coming up out the channel to bite. We had tons of short fish bites which kept us continuing to fish the points, however the big ones just never bit for us. The one and only keeper a 15″ line hugger was caught just inside of a main lake point about 1:00. I am thankful for that one fish as it netted me about 150 points in the standings versus just 20 points if I skunked. Coming into the tournament, I was in 15th place, I dropped to 26th after this weekend, so I am not in too bad of a spot to make the top 40 and qualify for the regional. Next FLW BFL tournament is on Tablerock May 2nd, I need to have a good day on Tablerock, If any BB members have any good suggestions for me for May fishing on Tablerock, I would welcome all of the help that I can get. Just email me at bob@bassingbob.com or call me at 314-575-5545. Good fishing all. |
