Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 10:30 and fished until 5. I ran to Linn Creek and the Hurricane Deck bridge area, mainly to check water temps, clarity and what the bite is, so that I can report a broad range of the lake ahead of the Big Bass Bash this weekend. While I did not get any money fish today, I did have a lot of bites and 5 small keepers. I did not have a single bite today on the stick bait, which has been a good bait for me lately. My most consistent bite was on the Carolina Rigged Brush Hog worked around spawning pockets and the finesse jig worked on the creek channel banks leading to spawning areas. I was encouraged to catch one on the buzz bait, but I had no takers on the spook or spinner bait today. I had a pretty good one, maybe 4-5 pounder on the wiggle wart on a secondary point just outside of a spawning pocket, it came undone on me at the boat, probably the biggest bite that I had all day. |
