Fishing Notes |

Hey guys due to the big bass bash i wasnt able to crappie fish this weekend, but i got a couple reports to share, one coming from fishing guide Jack Uxa. Jack took a couple guys out Saturday and fished the lower Glaize. As you guys know the lower Glaize has been on fire, but due to high fishing pressure i was curious to see how jack panned out. Jack whacked them!!! Going back in the creeks and finding the indentations was key. Jack likes to use swim jigs with spinner head as a search bait. Then if he gets a couple bites in a specific area he will slow down and use a cork on one spot and see how many bites he can get. When i say cork i mean a bobber with a small johnson tube on it with a crappie nibblet. Jack is a great crappie fisherman! he says its addicting because you can get alot of action. I also wanted to share my friend Sean Carlyes report. Sean was fishing in Chimney cove targeting the same things jack was. pea gravel pockets. Chimney cove is at about the 13mm. It is a big cove but the crappie are alive in there. Sean was able to catch his limit in a matter of an hour. Sean has also been using the new crappie jigs made by strike king, the Shadolicious. |
