Fishing Notes

Well i couldnt get a big one to bite!!! I fished this weekend with my little brother, who was in from st.louis. I really wanted to put him on some fish. I was able to get a fair amount of bites early on Saturday morning with the stick bait, my brother also caught a few on a stick bait, but boy things changed quick on me. I wasn’t able to practice much this past week so when i got out on the water i noticed a big change! the fish moved in to spawn!! i was seeing alot of fish on nest. So my mentality changed. I told my brother this might suck for ya but we need to go searching for a big one on a nest. So we did we searched both days and were unable to get a big one to bite on the bed. I caught a few 3 and a half pounders but they just weren’t big enough. Some of the other bedders that i targeted just didn’t want to bite. They just weren’t locked on the nest completely. I noticed alot of males on the beds. What big females i found just wouldn’t bite and i probably fooled with them to long. All in all i probably should have just went fishing instead of searching!!
