Due to Bassing Bob himself being at Table Rock getting ready for the weekends BFL i am doing the crappie and Bass reports today and tomorrow. I will Depart for Table Rock also on Thursday morning. Today i got out about 10:00 I decided to dedicate the day to fishing a smaller finesse jig. I targeted the areas that these fish have beds on for the spawn. I was able to catch several small males but no big ones. Not even one keeper! I noticed that the water has come way up so that has made the sight fishing a little bite tougher, however i was still able to see some fish on the nest. I really didn’t have alot of time on the water to really make adjustments, my buddy and fellow co worker josh Scnabble had a pretty good morning in the Niangua arm of the lake. Josh caught one nice on off a bed, and two big ones on a Carolina rigged lizard. All fish came off pea gravel spawning areas, if you see alot of nest on the bank its a good area to back off and drag a Carolina rigged lizard, and try to catch big females that are trying to move up on the gravel and spawn. This is exactly what our buddy Josh was able to do this morning!! |
