Fishing Notes

Today I got on the water about 11:00AM and fished until 3:00PM. I started out fishing the creek channel banks leading in and out of spawning pockets/cuts/coves and caught several fish on the Carolina Rig in 4-10′ of water. After fishing some spawning pockets and looking for bedding fish, I fished a bluff end and then flipped the jig and COG Shaker Head on bluff ledges. The bite was good I caught a solid 3 pounder spawned out bass, some good bass in bluff cuts and a nice KY with a belly full of eggs on a bluff ledge. There are a lot of main channel fish coming up onto the bluff ledges and bluff ends to feed and spawn. I have been fishing the backs of coves and spawning pockets a lot, those fish are there shallow and very catchable. So I thought I would check out main lake bluff ends and main lake bluff ledges and cuts. I had a lot of bites on bluff ends and bluff cuts. I was a good day fishing.
