Fishing Notes

I got out this afternoon at about 1:30 hopeing to finally catch some crappie. With some good advice gave to me from our experts i went out with confidence. I actually caught most the crappie at the mouth of my cove. I listened to jack Uxa about hitting the first few docks going in off the main lake. No i also noticed this guys dock had Christmass trees laying on his dock, this is a good sign that whoever lives there has brush and beds sunk around the dock. Sure enough i threw a parallel cast down the side of his dock and gave it a 6 count of sinking time. i started to slow roll the jig and tap tap he bit!!! yes i said to myself. I continued to throw the same cast along side this dock and caught 5 or 6 crappie. this particular dock was in about 20 foot of water the front of it. the bites came over the top of piles in 10-15 foot. I was able to catch a few more on the oppisite side of the cove also targeting the first dock coming off the main lake. Then mother nature kicked me off the lake!! it stsrted raining pretty hard in the area i was at, i was going to stick it out , but i figured it was a good time to go in and do some work. definetly try this pattern right now it seems to be catching alot of slabs!! and check out of monthly crappie expert video under videos to get some help from our experts.
