Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 1:30 and fished til 5:30. With the Catch a Vet Open Buddy Tournament this Saturday out of Tan Tara, I fished that area today to hopefully provide some guidance for those fisherman. I will be fishing that tournament with Ben Verhoef this weekend and we will be there with coffee and donuts at take off and hot dogs at weigh-in, it would be great to see some of you at this charity tournament out of Tan Tara, check it out. Today I tried a lot of different patterns, with the dam running some water I caught 5 keepers this afternoon, a KY on a spinner bait off an isolated dock, a keeper on Crock-o-Gator Football head jig on a main lake point and some keepers on wood lay downs and rocky creek channel banks on a finesse jig. I also had some pretty big blow ups on a black KVD Salty Dawg spook in spawning pockets. |
