Fishing Notes |

Jim and Wayne caught the crappie pretty good yesterday evening. They fished from 4:30 to about 7. They set out targeting brush around condo docks and secondary point. On this evening it seemed there best bites came on the shoulder parts of the secondary points. The points had scattered brush around them. there better bites came in about 15 foot of water on top of the brush piles. Throwing past the brush and slow rolling the bait back to let it get deeper was the key. At the end of the day they caught about 20 crappie and 15 of them kept. Jim also caught a big 15 incher out of a 20 foot brush pile. The deeper bite was there for a few but they mention the 10-15 foot piles were producing the numbers of fish. Ive also heard that the really good trolling bite going on. find the crappie on main lake bluffs and bluff ends and throw a 300 series bandit crank bait. Also dock shooting the first couple docks on the main lake just outside of a cove is good docks to target. |
