Fishing Notes |
---|
Today Landen and I got on the water about 11:00 and fished until 1:30. We did not catch numbers at all today, but the three bites we had were all keepers. Landen scored the biggest 2 bass, a 3 pounder and a 4 pounder slow rolling the wiggle wart on slightly tapering points. There was a boat coving out right near where Landen landed the 4 pounder, he recieved a standing ovation from the 8 or so adults partying in the boat, Landen smile was from ear to ear!! Most of the bites today came in 4-6′ of water. Toward the end of our fishing today, a massive 30# plus flathead catfish nailed my shaky head worm. It took about 20 minutes to finally wear it out and boat it. Landen could hardly believe the action of that catfish and the struggle to land it, I am sure a memory that he will have for a lifetime. It was a really fun day fishing with my grandson. |
