Fishing Notes |
---|
After doing a bit of crappie fishing today without much success, I started to fish for bass about 3:00PM and fished until 5. My most consistent bite was on or near secondary points. The bites that I had were off the bank in about 8′-10′ of water. About 4 o’ clock it seemed that the big boats started to really do some racing up and down the big cove that I was fishing a couple of times the waves caught me by surprised and darn near tossed me off the boat. I guess it would be smart of me to fish in some no wake coves on these holiday weekends. I did have one nice bass, probably a 4 pounder plus, eat the shaker head worm, I had a long cast out and did not get a very good hook set, the bass jumped about half way back to the boat and threw the bait. That was my best bite of the day, it came on a bit chunk rock bank on a main lake bank near a point. |
