Fishing Notes

Today I got on the water about 11:00 and fished for crappie until about 1:00. I could see groups of crappie on my graph just seemingly roaming, well off the banks in about 15-18′ of water. I checked about 10 deep brush piles that were not related to any type of structure with no takers, my best bite, a flurry of a few bites in about 30 minutes were on the corners and fronts of docks with brush. The brush was in about 25′ with the crappie holding over the tops. I never did get into a good biting school, it was 3 crappie 1 off 3 different docks. I talked to many of the crappie fisherman fishing on my condo docks today, they reported to have their best bite in the early morning around the docks in about 20 feet of water, with brush being a key to their bite.
