Today I fished for a couple of hours in the morning ahead of the boat traffic. I was both bass fishing and crappie fishing targeting main lake areas, points and docks for bass and crappie. I did have a fairly consistent crappie bite running the bait along side of docks, with most of the bites coming in about 15′ of water about the mid way on the side of docks on the windy side with a bit of chop. Just like yesterday however, I was not able to get more than one crappie off of a single spot. I probably need to slow down a bit to try and milk the spots I am getting bites from. I have been throwing about 4 casts back to those spots but then moving on if I do not get a second bite. |
