Bassing Bob Members,

Hello everyone I hope you are all doing well, and fishing when its not arctic out!! I wanted to give you all an update on Bob and his health. As most of you know Bob underwent heart surgery January 3rd in St. Louis. The heart surgery was a huge success! Though, during early recovery we did unfortunately have a few setbacks. We now have him at the rehabilitation center where he will have to spend some time to get strong again. Bob is in great spirits and is more motivated than ever to get back to the place he loves! If anyone of you have any questions and or just want to talk fishing feel free to reach out to me or Steve Heitman. Most the time you guys know where to find me at Fitz’s. I will do my best to update Bobs status regularly. Thank you all for always being supportive of Bassing Bob, and Bob himself!!

Sincerely,
Bassin Rob!!!

Fishing Notes

Today Ben and I had our personal best day tournament fishing ever!! We fished Anglers Choice out of PB2 with all the heavy hitters fishing as well! we knew at take off it was gonna be a slug fest!! In the morning we targeted a secondary point that had alot of big chunk rock on it. Id say it was about 730 am when we caught our first fish with the spook, it was a 3 pounder. In this spot we noticed the bass feeding hard on the shad in about 4-7 foot of water. We kept throwing the spook and worked it super fast. In a matter of 15mins i whacked two six plus pounders!!!!! We couldnt believe how big they were. catching them back to back was incredible. We milked this spot until they stopped biting, The bite lasted for about 45minutes we loaded the boat right then and there with 22.17 pounds!!! the rest of the day we tried our deep current spots and caught a few small keepers but no big heads. We went back to that good spot 3-4 times with no love. We ended up taking 2nd place and missed big bass by a tenth of an ounce!!! we had a 6.69, and also a 6.40. What an incredible day!!! or should i say hour!!!
