Fishing Notes |

Today Ben and i went crappie fishing in the early afternoon. We started off trolling the bandit crank baits around brush that didnt work to well for us. All we had to show for on that was a giant flat head catfish that took us 20 minutes to get in. It was exciting catching it on light line. We proceeded to the bluff ends where i recently had some success. We were able to catch a had full trolling but we saw on the graph that the crappie were stacked up pretty good right up against the first dock inside the bluff end. these fish were suspended in about 15 foot of water. we threw our Slabolicious baits in and gave it about a 7 count down and then started slow rolling the bait. this gave method caught us about 5 more crappie. It really helps finding them on the graphs. If you dont have graphs troll the bandit around main lake docks and bluff ends as a search bait. when you find one there are usually more in that spot. you can keep trolling back and forth or throw in a crappie jig in that area. |
