Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 12:00 and fished until about 5:00. I was mostly running away from thunderstorms from the 12mm to the mouth of the Gravois. As a storm would pop up, I would run to an area that it was not raining. Well that only lasted a while as eventually there were storms and rain everywhere. I had a pretty consistent bite of short fish today, most of them coming on big bluff rock on the main channel side of a bluff end with most bites coming from 15′ – 25′ of water, sometimes the bass would take the bait on the fall. I fished some pretty long stretches of bluffs, with my best bite coming where there were some ledges on the bluff. I did catch two small keepers on a long flat that extended out to the main channel of the lake, the bites came as I dragged the jig through some deep brush about 20′ deep. |
