Fishing Notes

Today we fished USA Bassin looking to have a good day after recent success. Boy it was tough for us!! We ran our routes that we have been running from the toll bridge to the dam and squeaked out a small limit. We hit a lot of main lake and secondary points with jigs and shaky head worms. Today we just didn’t have as many bites as we have had in the past 4 weeks. The fish seemed a lot more spread out than usual. Instead of three or 4 bites off a spot it was more like 1, and he might not even keep!! We tried fishing a bunch of brush piles as well with only one small keeper to show for. Today Ben and i did A LOT of head scratching!! When it was all said and done we weighed in 12.58 pounds. Just couldn’t catch any big ones. Were not down and out we have both been here before, in tournament fishing you cant get them every time, but you can try and put yourself in position to do so!!!
