Last Friday the Great Wayne Fitzpatrick came to Truman to help me to dial in some structure and techniques for catching keeper bass on Truman. Truman can be a very very tough lake to catch em and I was not at all familiar with the lake. Going into Truman I was in 27th place in points with the goal of finishing the circuit in the top 50 to qualify for the regional on Kentucky Lake, so I needed some points fish, catching one keeper for points is the difference of 20 points if you blank and as many as 150-250 points depending on where you fall against the other anglers with a keeper. I was very happy to catch two small keepers to get my points and move from 27th place to 23rd place going into the last tournament in September at Lake of the Ozarks. It was such a good time hanging out in the evenings with Marcus Sycora, Brett Gouvreau, Doug Henzlick, Justin Swast, Steve, Dennis Berhorst and Roger Fitzpatrick, we had a great time |
