Fishing Notes

Today Bassing Bob employee Zack was able to get us a crappie report while I worked at fitzs. Zack said it was pretty tough on him but he did manage to catch a few. he caught a few fish out of 25 foot brush pile on the blue and white paddle tail jig. Zack also fished a wind blown secondary point, the wind was crashing right into the dock on the point, so zack fished the shady side and caught like 5 fish in a row. All the fish zack caught were nice in quality. I agree with the way he fished today. he fished windy secondary point, and a bluff end with a 25 foot piece of brush on it. Right now the only thing I would add to Zacks day was trolling crank baits. this is the time that you really want to troll the Bandit 300 series. Around points, brush, and, docks. you do want to have some depth this time of year for all those pieces of cover. Also remember the catfish are really heating up. The blue cats are starting to bite bandit crank baits too!!! But skip jack and cut bait on main lake and deeper secondary points. Also never pass up a bluff end point for these crappie , catfish, or even bass. They really don’t take long to fish.
