Fishing Notes |

Today after the fishing seminar at the state park, I went to Jims to do some condo dock fishing. I just knew the crappie would be around there somewhere, and after struggling on the water I really wanted to try this. We started on the deeper dock which has a depth of 50 foot under it. We caught fish right away in about 20 foot suspended around the brush. then we started catching better black crappie right under the foam. Just pendulum swinging the jig back to you parelling the dock foam. the dock backs were the best where it was more shady. Both of us were using 1/16th ounce jig heads. I was using 6 pound hi vis vicious line. we also tried the shallow condo dock which at the most has 10 foot under it, and had zero luck. But let me tell you what the bluegill are all over the docks… everywhere u go the bluegill are hanging right under the docks, they bite your jigs more than the crappie do!! |
