Fishing Notes

Today the dam really juiced up the water, opening the flood gates and running 60 cfs most of the day.   That generation really gets the fish fired up and on the main lake.   Due to meetings this morning, I was able to get on the water about 12:00 but a big thunderstorm came in after about and hour, so I did not have a lot of time.   Like yesterday I pulled up to points that I rarely fish and points with a dock/waive break to see how those points set up and learn more about those points.   When I do that, it takes me a bit of time watching my graph to see how and where the fish are set up.   I was pretty pleased to catch a 3 pounder on the swim bait after I saw the fish set-up further off the bank and then to catch keeper and some shorts on another point with the jig.  Again, these points have dock/waive break obstructions, but a main lake point is a main lake point, it just took me a bit more time to find the fish and understand the structure on the point.
