Fishing Notes |

Well, today did not work out as planned. I got on the water today about 10AM and planned to fish until 5, checking multiple patterns and baits. After about 15 minutes on a main lake bluff end point, my trolling motor shot craps and my day was basically done. Although, I was hoping after powering down and then powering back on after a run, that the trolling motor would come back, NOT. My plan, which I tried to execute, with no trolling motor, was to run to a back of a creek channel swing, fishing the brush piles in 15-25′ of water just outside of the shallow flat in the back of the creek. as the wind was light, I was able to fish a couple of those brush piles with the jig, no takers. The wind picked up and without any trolling motor, I could not fish shallow docks. I did put my raptors down in the back flat, lots of bait fish, threw top water, small crank bait and fluke with no bites. No trolling motor, no bites and no patterns to share. I feel confident however, that there will be good fish in brush toward the back of coves and fish flipping shallow boat docks as there are lots of bait fish in those areas. Unfortunately, I was not able to prove that out today. I hope trolling motor will be back up and going by Thursday or Friday. Sorry guys/gals for a delay in reports. |
