Fishing Notes |
---|
Fished today for the first time since having new boat and made a river run. Could tell by the banks we were fishing that the lake has dropped. We covered water using spinnerbaits / buzz baits and flipping wood with jigs catching enough shorts (12 to 14-1/2 inch fish) to keep us interested but only had 1 big blow-up on a buzz bait. I heard it but just got my head turned to see the boil and asked buddy Rick, that was a biggun! and he said yes around 4-5 lbs. and it just did not get hooked up in a cut filled with wood. It was a perfect morning with cloud cover but could have used some more wind and then late morning rain took over and rained most rest of day. We came back to dock around 1:00 and went back out around 2 and fished till 5 in the toll bridge area and was raining and wind picked up big time and we fished some main lake bluffs with direct wind with spinnerbaits and had 1 short kentucky. So all in all a brutally slow day! |
