Lower end has been fine but there is hardly any big ones. Fishing the coves most of the way back. Docks and brush. Fish were on the bottom, suspended, on the docks and chasing shad at times. |
Fishing Notes |
---|
I know the lake is showing some signs of the turnover because the water clarity can be drastically different from spot to spot. Our best fish the last couple days came from 30 plus feet of water. Another sign is some crap is floating up from the bottom. The good news is we are still catching them, so who cares. The fish are feeding in pods and you have to be ready for a quick feeding frenzy. A large variety of lures are working like spoon, crankbait, jig, shaky head, drop shot and topwaters. Fishing has been difficult and I have been trying to make the bass make a snap decision to feed or not by working the majority of the baits fast. We fished what felt like pretty ideal conditions but it was a weird day. When we first started (10am) fishing was awesome and it was more difficult at 4pm. |
