I’s so proud of my 15 Year old Grandson Landen and his fishing buddy today, James and his other buddies that ride their bikes to fish farm pounds in St. Louis area. They are ate up with fishing, which is so cool for me to see their progress and love for fishing and having success on the big pond at LOZ. I started fishing with Landen when he was 5 years old, starting with small baits and spinning rod. He and his buddies have graduated to bait casters and power baits. They still throw spinning gear and finesse stuff too, just good instincts. Landen shot me a text last night to tell me he was coming the lake with his buddies family this weekend and if the fishing was good and what baits. I told him the bite was pretty good on worm, jig, ned rig and early/late top water. I asked him, if he was fishing from the dock or boat? He said a small boat, well see pic of their boat they fished from this morning. I dont really think the bass care about the boat. Also good evidence of fishing around an area versus running all over the place, they had to stay in no wake cove. They did a great job, catching fish and a few really good ones. Landen reported that most of their bites were on secondary points in 5′-10′ of water, working the baits slow on the bottom. Great job Landen and James and thank you for sharing your fishing report. |
