Fishing Notes |

Another good day for my grandson, 15 year old, Landen and his buddy James, fishing out of James small boat in a big cove around the 8mm. They did their 15 year old thing today, swimming and enjoying the lake with James family. They got on the lake about 4PM and fished until about 6:30. There bite today was a bit more stingy than yesterday but they caught a lot of fish and some keepers, including a 3 and 4 pounder on the jig. They caught those fish in 10′ – 15′ of water working rip rap on see walls and secondary points. If you missed my report from yesterday, you must see the boat they are fishing out of, see pic. No graphs, small boat with a trolling motor on the back. There is a good lesson here, stay confined one cove and fishing your instincts. I’m so proud of these boys figuring out the baits and patterns to catch a of fish and quality fish. |
